About The Spirit of Song Project
The 'Spirit of Song Project' is the latest musical endeavour of 'world famous in rural New Zealand' multi-instrumentalist A.J Hickling. Triggered by experiences at Parihaka in 2006 and concluding when the music video for his single Aotearoa Aroha was screened at Parihaka 2007 just before Dave Dobbyn's performance, 'Songs of Hope' is an epic work. Featured artists include the likes of John Grenell, Ryan Prebble, Tui Mamaku, Rihari Singleton and many more, as well as A.J playing every instrument under the sun.
