The Spider Babies were a self proclaimed Garage Trash band from Portland, Oregon. The band is most known for its' vox fuzz sound and snotty vocals mixed with plenty of sex and violence. The band had 3 lineups and only came to an end when 2 members of the band, the bassist and drummer were killed in a car accident. The singer and mastermind of the Spider Babies, Kevin "Spider Baby" Shapen still plays in Portland's Coco Cobra and the Killers as the lead guitarist.
