About The Speaker Wars
e Speaker Wars are an Americana-rock band formed by Stan Lynch (founding member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and Texas singer-songwriter, Jon Christopher Davis. Their unlikely meeting occurred in Nashville in 2001, while both in the throes of attempting to understand what became of the music they grew up loving and listening to. JCD was enduring his third major label deal and his producer was yet undecided. He asked Stan, who co-produced several Don Henley records, to produce and Lynch gladly came on board.
