About The Space Place Ensemble
Burlington Vermont-based experimental music collective born out of the ideas of Sun Ra and John Cage. Their music ranges from ambient to minimalist to post rock to industrial and is entirely improvised. The jams are based around a single prepared piano and involve a revolving cast of accompanying instruments and musicians. Using that piano, found objects, electric guitar and bass, a shakuhachi, a saxaphone, upright bass, synthesizer, jaw harps, meditation bells
