The Satellite Eye started out as an ambient instrumental side-project from musician Bryan Dalle Molle. Using the name Solstice, he would release songs that didn't necessarily fit the style of bands he was in. As time went on and these bands fell apart it became apparent that he could easily release music on a solo platform. The first EP, Animal, was released in Summer of 2009 and featured four songs that still had a tint of that ambient sound that was present on earlier works.
