The Russian Apartments is the current project of singer/songwriter Michael Caulfield. Drawing from diverse historical and contemporary influences, The Russian Apartments reflects Caulfield's fascination with alternate musical/lyrical histories and intentional misreadings of 1980s pop. RA's first release was The Power of Post-Positive Thinking in 2009. His music is released for free on his own label under a Creative Commons license on Bandcamp.
