The Riats were a Dutch 1960s beat group from The Netherlands' 'beat capital' of The Hague, featuring Frans Doolaard (guitar), Ko van der Hoeven (guitar), Steve Biesot (bass) and Louis Debij (drums). The band had some material of their own, but mostly played cover versions, notably two songs from the début album of The Velvet Underground: 'Sunday Morning' and 'Run Run Run', released by The Riats in 1967, very shortly after the release of the V.U.
