About The Restless Shades
Post-punk for the 21st century. Formed by a group of musicians and DJs with decades of experience between them exploring dark musics and a shared love of the early output of such labels as Mute, Factory, 4AD, Rough Trade, Some Bizarre and Beggar's Banquet. The Restless Shades' primary practice and writing space is an old Catholic rectory. Mr. Sandman (vocals, keys) is a former member of the group Boyish Charm in addition to releasing a steady stream of songs under his own name since 1987. A former NYC DJ, he now spins in the Portland area.
