
With equal doses of '60s girl group charm and '70s punk rock swagger, The Prissteens emerged on the New York scene during the 1990s. Richard Gottehrer, who notably produced debut albums by Blondie and the Go-Gos and penned songs such as "My Boyfriend's Back" and "I Want Candy" assisted The Prissteens with their 1998 album Scandal, Controversy & Romance. The album included several covers, including "(I'd Go The) Whole Wide World" and "Sorrow." Much of the album has a retro sound
