The Primrods started in 1992 with no clear ideas other than a shared conviction that the popular rock of the day (Pearl Jam, Bad Religion etc.) sucked. By 1998 they had gone through two drummers, two vans and five singers. They started a label and released a slew of singles and CDs by themselves as well as other similarly noisy acts from the prairies. They signed to Geffen in '97 and made one album before being dropped (and subsequently breaking up) in the wake of the Universal/PolyGram merger in '98.
