
The Poor Clares were formed New Orleans in 1993. The formed from solo performers at O'Flaherty's Irish Pub, situated in the French Quarter. Betsy McGovern on guitar and vocals Beth Patterson on bouzouki, oboe, percussion, keyboards, bass, and vocals Justin Murphy on bodhran, whistle, and flute Patrick O'Flaherty on mandolin, button accordion, and vocals. When Patterson left the band the others renamed themselves Re Mor. Which is Gaelic for "Big Easy."
