About The Means of Production
There are two acts who perform under the name The Means of Production a) a duo that consists of Mic Static on words, singing and maudlin and Hizumi in charge of programming, knob twiddling, keyboards and re-boots. Armed with a laptop and some old synths they joined forces in 2004 with the aim of producing edgey synth driven music, inluenced by the electronic sounds of the early 80s. b) an instrumental band who were originally the backing band of Ben Pirani before branching out and releasing their debut album.
