The Maunsell Signal is L.A Lundén from Turku, Finland, experimenting minimal dub techno sounds. The releases are put through his own non-profit label Terranean Recordings. The booming sound consists of reverb-laden ambient guitar layers, minimal bass-heavy beats that drown in fuzzy noises and drawn-out speech samples that create abounding textures. The inching, groovy and mysterious ambiance is influenced by unexplained phenomena, numbers stations, The Conet Project, covert government actions etc.
