About The Mares
Since late 2004, tangled indie guitar trio THE MARES have been consolidating their sound; a mixture of punk, blues, folk and dance influences. It all culminates in the kind of indie pop that translates quickly to the dance floor. But to give you a better idea of it all, let’s take a trip back in time… Singer, songwriter, guitarist and founding member Jamie Hanson was splitting his time between the gutters of Hobart, Melbourne and Berlin, and spending more time drinking than on completing his philosophy degree.
