Twin brothers Jules and Marcus Carbrant formed The Manifold Curiosity in Canterbury in 2010, taking their name from a phrase often used by popular television host and pensioner botherer Jonathan Ross. Their music is often claimed to be an attempt to transpose the myriad emotions explored and provoked by Werner Herzog's 'Grizzly Man', and was described by Jarlette Sansmuzch in Die Magazine Nien-Welle as "shockingly intimate, like the grope of a tender pervert".
