About The Maids
The Maids were an American garage punk band from Berkley, California, established in 1977 and disbanding in 1979. They had a minor reputation based on their DIY single they issued in 1979. It features the sometimes covered “Back to Bataan” with “I Do I Do.” Originally pressing between 100-200 copies total, the record has since become legendary among punk rock fans and record collectors. The Maids’ reputation had been furthered following a series of bootleg records that originated in New York in 1988 titled Killed by Death.
