The Konami Code, named after the infamous video game code, was an eight-piece ska/punk band from Olney, MD. The band began playing together as a six-piece outfit in the summer of 2000 and played their last show in August 2003 at the public library in Aspen Hill, MD. Their sound has been compared to the likes of Link 80, Less Than Jake, and Catch 22. The Konami Code earned special distinction in the DC ska scene by blending theatrical antics and "hijinx" into their live shows.
