The King in Yellow was created when a tight nit group of friends needed something to funnel their desire for making music into. Quickly after their first practice, The King in Yellow started work on their first EP titled “Apparitions”. After writing for 3 months it was released on March 31st, 2011 with positive reception. The band then started playing in different beloved music venues around Atlanta to promote their release
