About The King Family
In August 1964 'THE KING FAMILY SHOW ' debuted on ABC-TV as a special. Response from viewers was immediate and the show returned as a weekly series in January 1965. This signaled the beginning of a long, successful career for one of the largest musical casts on television--40 members of one family. The Family represented the children, husbands, in-laws and brothers of the popular King Sisters quartette. Singing en masse or in smaller groups like The King Cousins, the King Sisters headed one of singing-est families in showbiz history.
