
Based in and loved by all of Newcastle, The Hype Foundation was a four-piece indie pop band that had what it took to be the next big thing in Britain. Praised by the NME and the BBC and with several offers from both independent and major labels, this would-be sensation split up before their glacial pop was officially released anywhere. Members of the band have now moved on to other projects, and a reunion seems unlikely
