About The Hemingways
Formed by Jim Byrne in the mid 90s - with various members flitting in and out throughout the decade. Included many musicians from the Glasgow scene and other Glasgow bands - including members from the Primevals, the Eliots and The Creeping Charlies. Most commonly the band saw Bruce Ferguson on Drums and David Rogers on lead guitar with Jim Byrne on lead vocals and second guitar and occasional blues harp. The band concentrated on writing good songs that paired upbeat music against fairly dark lyrics - there are few vacuous love songs here.
