The Hellers were a mid-’60s, L.A.-based collective of advertising singers, talkers and players led by media genius Hugh Heller. Among their highlights was "Creative Freakout: Advertising Protest Songs" (10-inch vinyl, 1967), sadly currently unavailable on CD or vinyl reissue. Intended as a promotional giveaway to potential and existing advertising clients, Creative freakout is a groovy two-sided trip involving orgies, crazy Mod threads and the avant garde.
