The Heavy Beat is a reggae/ska band from Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States. The band consists of Noah Marsters (guitar, lead vocals), Matt MacLeod (keys, lead vocals), Joe Piperato (drums, backing vocals) and Jed Harley (bass, backing vocals). The Heavy Beat uses a strong knowledge of early reggae, rocksteady and dub to put together their unique sound and are known for their impressively tight and energetic live show. Forming in August of 2007, the band released 5 Finger Tunes, a 12-song demo, in the summer of 2008.
