About The Green Street Open Jam Band

The GREEN STREET STATION was a local bar in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston Massachusetts. Owner Doug Mellon inherited it and decided to add live rock shows. The bar was named after the Orange Line's Green Street Subway stop *which had formerly been elevated and was "modernized" in the early 1980's. MANY local New England bands played at Green Street, for example the Lemonheads, Big House, the Neighborhoods, Hullabaloo, Stop Calling Me Frank, the Well Babies.
