About The Great Metropolitan Steam Band
The Great Metropolitan Steam Band were a vaudevillian blues/jug band about which very little is known. They only released one record in 1969 on the Decca label (serial no. Decca DL 75143). One published resource from a 1969 publication (The Journal Of Popular Culture Vol III, Issue 3, pg. 625) calls the band a quartet and says that the female vocalist goes unnamed. The album was arranged by Eliot Kenin, engineered by Elvin Campbell and produced by Dave Blume & David Wilkes.
