There are at least two bands known as The Gibbons: 1) Formed in 2001, the Gibbons were a DIY punk band from Detroit, Michigan often compared to Jawbreaker, Leatherface and the Lawrence Arms. The songs are inspired by the political as much as the personal, and most often, the interaction between the two realms. The Gibbons final show was in May of 2006, at the historically anarchist DIY art-space the Trumbullplex. Releases---- Caulfield / Gibbons split cdep
