The Flats (not to be confused with Flats from the UK) are a Singapore based duo. Consisting of Clement (programming, all instruments) and Redmund (vocals), they write and produce songs to reflect their place geographically at the cross-roads of East and West. Drawing from an eclectic mix of influences ranging from David Sylvian, Sakamoto, Roddy Frame, Galaxie 500, Pink Floyd, Simian Ghost, Memphis, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Prefab Sprout, the pair try to infuse their songs with an identity that shows their Singaporean identity.
