
The Flaming Souls recorded mostly instrumentals in the late 1960s Soweto Soul scene of South Africa. They were influenced by Booker T. & The MGs, James Brown, and the Newport Jazz sound. The group consisted of Simon Twala, Philip Malela, Gerald Khoza, Herman Fox, Kenny Mosito and Condry Ziqubu.
