The End of the Universe was formed in late summer of 1982 by guitarist Brett Mathews (Jesuit, Hatebreed, Goddess), bassist Ian Sabo (Goddess, Channel) and drummer John DiGiorgio (Converge, Iron Maiden, Canephora). Following some early jam sessions, Brett recruited Josh Nelson (Tu Madre, This Was Your Life) on vocals, and the foursome immediately hit it off. Combining elements of their former projects with a touch of Deadguy, Harkonen, Entombed, Coalesce and even some stoner favorites thrown in, TEotU has a clearly defined, original sound.
