There are two artists with this name. 1) The Doorknobs were a band consisting of sister and brother Hannah Eddington and Sam Eddington, who were active from the mid-'90s to the early '00s. They belonged to the same lineage of American outsider music that produced Wesley Willis, Lucia Pamela, and Jandek. Their sound was deliberately ramshackle, featuring erratic combinations of dime-store toy instruments, pots and pans, clanging pianos and cheap keyboards, all recorded onto portable tape players.
