The Damn Shame is a solo project by Canadian musician Dylan Lennon Beattie (born May 21, 1998 in Brampton, Ontario). The Damn Shame was inspired by Dylan's love for alternative music, such as grunge, pop-punk, emo, post-punk revival and post-hardcore The project began in 2017, however wasn't Dylan's main focus until 2020. The Damn Shame released their debut single “Careful” on April 22, 2022 Dylan is also a member of Oshawa pop-punk band The Same As Always.
