. . The Continental IV were a beloved soul quartet of the early '70s, and among the finest units featuring the "sweet" falsetto sound. Lead Freddie Kelly didn't get either the plaudits or hits of the Delfonics' William Hart, Blue Magic's Ted Mills, the Moments' Harry Ray, or the Stylistics' Russell Tompkins, Jr., but he had an equally arresting, ethereal falsetto. Kelly, Ronnie and Larry McGregor, and Anthony Burke recorded for the Jay Walking label.
