The Buffalo Bills were a barbershop quartet formed in Buffalo, New York. In 1950, they won the SPEBSQSA International Quartet Contest, earning them the title of International Quartet Champions. The group is especially famous for its involvement in Meredith Willson's The Music Man. In the musical Vern Reed sang tenor, Al Shea lead, Wayne Ward baritone and Bill Spangenberg as bass. The quartet changed performers a few times, which is common in barbershop quartets.
