The Booklovers were formed in the wake of a disastrous Valentines Day in 2007. originally based in Dublin, Ireland, they have since relocated to London, England. Though they started off as a fairly straight up Twee Pop band, their sound has since expanded to include elements of Folk Punk, Riot Grrrl, Electronica, Hip Hop and Grindcore. Their first official release came in 2010, when their version of Patrick Kellehers song Boy named Suzie Q appeared on his You Look Colder remix album.
