About The Big Buddha Blues Band
The Big Buddha Blues Band was formed on the Thai tropical Island of Koh Samui by Barrie Manso and Steve Whitby in 1999. The Band performed songs about the local environment and lifestyle, and were the first English language original Band to play professionally in Thailand. The early line up included 3 Thai players on Bass, Drums, and Lead Guitar, and 2 "Farang" backing singers, Jackie and Angie (where are they now?). 2002 saw the Band shrink to an accoustic 3 piece wirh Hans on lead accoustic and Steve doing the percussive rythmn.
