The Bellows is a San Francisco band fronted by James Oakes. The band has released two albums and an EP: 1998's Outside, 2001's Way Down EP and 2002's Color the Wheel. The band's sound is heavily indebted to 1980's British guitar bands like the Chameleons, the Smiths and the Sundays. James has fronted several different incarnations of the band and they have opened for The Chameleons, Mark Burgess, Marty Willson-Piper, Lloyd Cole and Richard Butler.
