About The Beer Nuts
Formed as The Juvenile Delinquents around 1982. Soon after Ric Clayton (No Mercy) came up with the name The Beer Nuts. The band was influenced by Neighborhood Watch and Entropy from West Los Angeles, Suicidal Tendencies and No Mercy from Venice, as well as No Reaction and Cycotic Youth from Santa Monica. They were all part of The punk scene of The Westside and often the bands would play together. The Beer Nuts played mostly parties and recorded their first demo with Suicidal Tendencies guitarist Jon Nelson around 1986.
