About The Beard of Zu
The Beard of Zu; an independent group based in Peebles, the Scottish Borders, Scotland, which combines progressive metal riffs alongside technical acoustic sounds. The unique genre, influenced by rock, metal and hip-hop leaves no barriers to their politically motivated, innovative style. Consisting of four band members all from close by towns, the four boys met during secondary school. Michael Jewitt (lead singer/guitarist) initiated the band between two other members Eirinn MacKay (drummer) and Matthew Mcgarry (bassist).
