The Battery Kids exploded onto the Adelaide music scene in 2005. The four members met while studying music and recorded a three-track demo. The CD saw them gig all around town, supporting such acts as The Vasco Era, Whiskey Go Go’s, The Inches, Special Patrol and many more. Their tightly spun, theatric performances left audiences aroused and wanting more. In late 2006, T.B.K. recorded their debut EP Requiem for a Nightmare, combining haunting melodies and orchestration with an urgency and catchiness usually reserved for the dance floor.
