
The Basement Band is a duo that started out as a small group of church band members that were issued a challenge by their pastor to write new tunes to the Psalms for a sermon series that he was doing. Over the years members have come and gone but the goal has remained the same: set God’s word to music. Some of the music is hymn-like in structure while some is more “praise chorus”. The Basement Band has a wide ranging folk sound with influences that can be heard in their music
