The Baja Marimba Band were described by some as the Tijuana Brass' "bad little brothers". While never rising to the TJBs popularity, they did record extensively and were frequently heard on "Easy Listening" radio through the late 1960s. Led by Julius Wechter, a brilliant musician with a self-deprecating sense of humor, the group recorded into the early 1990s.
