About The Attractions
Notable for being the backing band for Elvis Costello, the British rock group The Attractions (Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas, and Bruce Thomas) released one album, 'Mad About the Wrong Boy', in 1980. Nieve and Bruce Thomas shared vocal duties, and all members wrote tracks. Although distributed in the U.K., it was not released in the U.S. Stylistically, the songs are a part of the power pop/new wave sound of Costello's 70s work with the same kind of cynical and often sarcastic lyrical edge.
