About The Affections
The story of The Affections began in 1977 when Rob Smith and George Ellis first met at Fort St High School in Sydney and quickly discovered a mutual love of classic rock and evergreen pop. Greg Tolhurst and Rob Risio soon joined the ranks, and after several changes of name and direction, plus the addition of singer, Wayne Hammonds, The Affections were all set to make their mark on the musical world. After finishing a respectable 3rd in the 1980 NSW final of the Hoadley’s “Battle of The Sounds”
