The Acrylic Tones, who mixed Britpop, sixties beat and psychedelia, were a British rock band of the 1990s, hailing from Newcastle, United Kingdom. Their début single, 'Girl', was released in 1994. The band also issued two full-length albums, The Acrylic Tones (1995) and Above the Streets and Houses (1996), before splitting up. Personnel: Ian Nagel (vocals, guitar), Simon Balsillie (organ, guitar), Gil Robson (bass) and Paul Boundey (drums, vocals).
