They make their music out of samples recorded themselves, turning minimal piano tracks into glitched-up electronic music striking a balance between complex and simple, between suffocating and spacious. Teotl Expansion (pronounced tay-oh-tle expansion) are an exciting new act in the world of experimental electronic music. Taking inspiration from the likes of Tim Hecker, Alva Noto and Steve Reich the pair set out to make contradictory music.
