At the crossroads of influences coming from all sides, Taxi Kebab from Nancy, France is the collision between synthesizers, drum machines, modulated guitars and amplified buzuq. In a re-appropriation of her father's language, Lea Leïla Jiqqir (buzuq, guitar and voice) interferes with the acidic arpeggios and dripping strings of Romain Henry's machine experiments. Mostly electronic, the Franco-Moroccan duo's music sometimes mixes with krautrock, psych and techno influences, inhabited by the spectre of North African roots.
