Tamsin Carroll was born Tamsin Georgina Carroll on February 13 1979, in Sydney Australia to Peter and Patricia Carroll. Today, she still holds the record as one of the youngest people to join the Melbourne Theatre Company ensemble, doing so at only 19 for her role as Little Red Riding Hood in the acclaimed Sondheim musical "Into the Woods", in which her father played the Narrator. Tamsin followed "Woods" with a starring role in the 1999 Sydney production of MTC's "A Little Night Music" where she understudied three of the lead characters.
