About Tales of Doom
(Geert de Wilde, February 2010) When I started IC 434 in 1994, this wasn't my first musical experience. Years before, at age 15, I amused myself combining distored recordings of my parents' 1907 piano with vocals I led through a vacuum cleaner pipe, and added some radio noise and the pumping beat of my percussion on a telephone book. I called my band HUMAN BODY and some school friends called my first song "Lambs For The Slaughter" the new "A Forest".
