Susu Bilibi was formed from Ayité Ayivi, the ex-bassist of Bella Bellow. The group started in 1983 and has made its name since that time through innumerable live shows and a number of TV appearances primarily in Germany, but also in Austria, Italy Switzerland and Togo. The band, whose members are from the West African nations of Togo and Ghana, is one of Germany’s “oldest” active Afro bands. In commemoration of this year’s 25th anniversary of the band’s live activities, Susu Bilibi have released their fifth album.
