There are three artists sharing the name Surtsey; The name is used by a British ambient/electronica group, a US americana trio from Missouri and a Russian post-rock band. British: Surtsey are a duo specialising in symphonic electronic music formed in Bath in late 2007. Strings and piano feature prominently in their work but they also draw influences from glitch music and IDM, amongst other genres such as contempory classical and post-rock. Dave Court
